Managing three different families in one day is definetly challanging, but there's something about christmas that just makes it all worth while.
Arriving at each house with a bundle of gifts and eating to our hearts content. Champange breakfast to the traditional christmas ham followed by truffles and the famous New Zealand Pavlova coated in berries. We couldn't complain.
I used to dread the traveling and unsettled feeling of christmas day. Stopping at one place for only a couple of hours, before we could truly relax and have a few drinks we were on the move again to the next house. The day seemed to go so fast and we didn't really get to enjoy it. It wasn't until this year that it occured to me that we got to repeat the excitement of giving gifts and enjoying the christmas feast not once but three times in the one day !! Instead of the gift giving only lasting an hour or so we are lucky enough for the feeling to last the entire day.
