Today / 22nd Jan 2015 While eating lunch this thought crossed my mind “Being happy is a very personal thing—and it really has nothing to do with anyone else .” I realised you can't rely on anyone else to hold your happiness because at the end of the day you are only going to be left disappointed.
Last year held so many life lessons along with great memories. Something I found is really important is staying true to yourself. You meet so many people in one year and each and every person impacts you life in some way or another, you have to be careful not to loose yourself along the way. sometimes it's easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing, you feel you should be doing the same, but is that really your thing ? It's easy to get caught up in trying to please everyone. Sometimes you have to stop for a minute and think about yourself.
I realised In life we do things. Some we wish we had never done. Some we wish we could reply a million times in our heads. But they all make us who we are and in the end they shape every detail about us. If we were to reverse any of them we wouldn't be the person we are. so just live. Make mistakes. Have wonderful memories but never second guess who you are. Where you have been and most importantly where it is you are going. Put yourself first this year! Focus on the things you love don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You'll surprise yourself !
